2013 Metro Times Blowout Performance Application

Background

The Metro Times Blowout is the largest local music festival in the nation, with more than 5,000 annual attendees over three days in metro Detroit. Each year, Blowout celebrates hundreds of local musicians in dozens of venues across metro Detroit.

2013 dates are as follows:

• Thursday, April 25^th – Detroit (Kick-off Party)
• Friday, April 26^th & 27^th – Hamtramck
• Thursday, May 2^nd – Saturday, May 4^th - Ferndale

Blowout continues to be the best and longest-running local music event of its kind by highlighting superior talent and helping artists into the spotlight.

Application Process

The Blowout application process is fully digital. Please do not mail anything to Metro Times, including CDs, press kits etc. All acts, even those who have previously performed at Blowout, must fill out an application.

There is no fee for submitting a Blowout application. All applications must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on February 1st.

We receive an abundance of applications and review each one individually. Please be patient and do not call or e-mail us to inquire if we have received your application.

Only selected acts will be notified of their status by February 15th. Please keep in mind that there are only a finite number of slots available and unfortunately many applicants will be turned down.
